We have done it! Loads of climbers from B&Q thanks and big thanks to Tony Ashurst [our new Chair] who made a fantastic raised bed. Plus obtained hundreds of Bill Gates – Mr Microsoft – celebration purple crocus bulbs to plant (they are in honor of the eradication of Polio in the world). We could not have done any of this without the funding from The Rotary Club and Forever Manchester so again thanks. Just need to watch them flower in the spring and take care of this little corner of Love Heaton Norris!
Work has been ongoing on the small piece of land behind the Jubilee Pub and adjacent to Farm Foods on Belmont Way. Clearing the weeds was a tough task. The council finally removed the fly tipping and now we have weed membrane down and some bark. We want the locals to feel proud of this area. We are relying on them to also keep the area maintained and clear and use the herbs etc that we will make available!
